Before any application for a wind farm can be made then the issues to be covered in the Environmental Impact Assessment must be agreed with the local authority, and the statutory consultees.  This process , known as scoping, will involve agreeing the viewpoints from which the landscape impact will be assessed, and details of the ecological, noise, and other surveys that should be carried out to ensure a professionally assessed project can be put before the local authority for determination.
